A great place to sit and watch the world go by, Fowey Harbour has some sandy patches, shingle and rock at low tide. Children will love crabbing off the rocks and all town amenities are close by.
The nearest car park is at either Polkerris or Par Sands and then a trek along the coastal path. There's not much beach to be seen at high tide but when the water is low there is sand and shingle with good rock pools. Dogs are welcome year round.
Associated with 19th century smuggling, today this sheltered cove is much quieter. Access involves a walk along the coastal path and the beach is mostly grey sand and shingle. The beach is good for snorkelling and diving. Dogs are allowed year round.
This is one of three family friendly sandy beaches. There are pop-up bars and food stalls open on the beach during the summer months. Water sports activities and equipment are available to hire. The beach is also popular for shore fishing.
There are a series of beaches stretching from the town and over looking Polruan. They are quite sheltered beaches and rarely get inundated - they are great for dog walkers as there are no restrictions in place.
This gentle sloping beach consists of mainly grey sand and shingle with rocky areas to each side . The beach is very sheltered and rarely gets busy.
This south facing beach has a stunning woodland backdrop, it comprises of mainly sand and shingle, but can have large amounts of seaweed during certain weather conditions.
This a fantastic beach to sit and watch the boating activity in the estuary. The sandy beach is easily accessible from the village and there is nearby parking.
