Designated as a Site of Specific Scientific Interest, Barricane Bay is a pretty little sandy bay surrounded by stunning rocky outcrops. Tucked away about half a mile away from Woolacombe beach, Barricane is popular with surfers and perfect for rock pooling. The beach disappears at high tide, forming a large natural pool.

Nestling undisturbed on the Roseland peninsula, Porthbeor is pleasantly sheltered and dotted with unusual rock formations. Currently only accessible by boat due to landslip cutting off the access steps.

Poldhu Cove

Sand dunes to play in and level access from the car park make this a good choice for families with young children. You will find a cafe and shop here plus toilets and lifeguards in summer. Its a very popular spot for surfers and can get busy during August.

Kynance Cove

Probably the most photographed beach in the area - the rugged, rocky coastline, caves and gleaming white sand make it one of Cornwall's prettiest, take note though, the beach is totally covered at high tide. National Trust car parking is available with access to the beach via a steep gravelled path. Cafe and toilets are available during the summer months.

Ringstead Beach

Once used by smugglers, Ringstead's shingle beach is set in the Jurassic Coastline and boasts beautiful views. With parking available in the nearby National Trust carpark, there is a fair walk downhill to the beach. Dogs are welcome all year. Make sure you keep an eye out for fossils.
