A wide sandy beach with rock pools and a slipway. Dog friendly all year round. You have to walk to get to it, but are rewarded from March to September with The Hidden Hut beach cafe, as seen on 'Cornwall with Caroline Quentin'.

We were there in March and had 65mph gales the day we arrived. Consequently the beach was covered in masses of sea weed at the high tide mark which wasn't appealing. Presumably the beach will be cleaned up later in the year. Beach goes out a long way at low tide. Great for dogs. Steep path up to Rosevine and steps to Portscatho. The Hidden Hut above the beach was a real bonus.

Porthcurnick is a lovely sandy beach with a stream running down it. Just above is the now famous Hidden Hut, serving proper cooked lunches such as lamb tagine, haddock chowder, and hummus with pitta. Pasties are available, but definitely no fish and chips!
National Trust loos, and a short walk into Portscatho along the coast path. A lovely walk along the coast path in the other direction leads to other gorgeous beaches, and there are fabulous views of Gerrans Bay.
