A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Lundy Bay

Like its neighbour, Epphaven Beach, this sheltered sand and rock cove is best visited at low tide. Lundy Hole, a collapsed sea cave, is at the west end of the beach. This is a great area for cliff walks.

Lovely Lundy

This sheltered and secluded cove is a beautiful place to swim, interrogate the rock pools or explore the numerous caves, some of which traverse into neighbouring coves. Lundy hole, a collapsed sea cave, is particularly striking. Best at low tide with sandy expanses, rocky at high tide but great swimming if the sea is calm. The short walk down from the National Trust car park is fantastic in its own right and a local hotspot for butterflies all summer.
