The Landmark Trust acquired this site in 1987 and have undertaken work to restore it to its late Victorian layout. The fort is one of ten in the area, built in the 1860's for defend Plymouth's naval base. The fort is open to the public on the last Friday of the month and further information regarding availabilty can be seen on their website.
