Chesil Beach

Studied in geography lessons across the land as a prime example of ‘long shore drift’, Chesil Beach is a long, long strip of shingle stretching out into the sea.

Fascinating Fossils

Fond chilhood memories of trawling slowly along the beach; the excitement at turning over each new stone that it might be THE ONE, the final resting place of some perfectly preserved prehistoric creature, lying in wait for thousands and thousands of years to be discovered. Would love to return and find some of those elusive ammonites one day.
