Tucked away on the tip of the wild Lizard peninsula, Cadgwith is a gorgeous harbour village with ‘chocolate box’ charm by the bucketful. Thatched cottages line the narrow streets with evocative names like ‘Kiddleywink’ and ‘Dolphin Cottage’. The friendly village pub, the Cadgwith Cove Inn, is steeped in history and makes a great place for an evening meal – much of the seafood on the menu is landed at the cove itself. Pop in on a Friday night and you might just find yourself joining in with the weekly gig by the Cadgwith Singers.

Jimmers Loft in Cadgwith Cove is a wonderful stay! It has the perfect layout for a family, and we were able to dry the salty seadog off in the downstairs area before coming up to the cozy main living area. The local pub serves great food and the folk musicians & singers add to the proceedings! Watching the fishing boats leave early morning, and come back mid-afternoon laden with fish is fun too! A great part of England and well worth a visit!

This is a real chocolate box village. No commercial touches at all, just thatched cottages and fishing boats. A real charm and well worth the walk from the car park. Please don't try and drive right into the village, the sign does ask you to use the car park and it is well worth it. Try the sandwiches from the little shop. You wont be sorry. Then take the coastal path to the devils Frying Pan and beyond for some lovely views.

If you are looking for a place to relax away from the pressures of a busy urban life then look no further than Cadgwith. For example there are no amusement arcades and the village pub does not have SKY TV or fruit machines. All the entertainment is 'live' with visitors able to join in if they want to.
Like me, regular visitors have been coming here for over 20 years. Look for the magic and I promise you will not be dissappointed.
