Also known as Spratting Cove, this small, sandy beach is reached by a slippery steep descent down the cliffs. There is a decent sized car park at the top of the cliff and dogs are allowed year round. For a beach with easier access try Portreath which is just over a mile away.

This car park above this little cove (reached by a very very bumpy lane - not for sports cars!) is the perfect spot to watch the sun go down and catch the very last few rays during the summer. The cove itself is named after a historically important local landowner. You can go right from here along the coast path (towards Portreath) and down into the dramatic valley known locally as Scadjek, or Carvannel Downs, a good workout coming back up the other side!
