This beach offers a 100ft long stretch of golden sand and another 700 yards of flat sand when the tide is out, ideal for families, water sports and creating the illusion you can walk to Porthsmouth! It is backed by the tall trees of Puckpool Park, a lovely area of parkland and this creates welcome shade during summer. The beach is pristine and cleaned daily. Dogs are allowed but restrictions apply.

Winter Season

Please note in the winter this beach is a favourite for dog owners. Dogs running free and using the beach as a toilet. Very inconsiderate owners assuming because you are there you love their dogs jumping up at you and running around your feet.

Renting a cottage in the winter you need to add this to your description. I’m a dog owner but still found it unacceptable.
