Antony on a wet day

This is a good weather NT property. We visited on a wet day. House is of less interest than most similar NT houses - very lived in feel - no real story. The gardens would be really good on a better day.

weather held off!

10 of us had a lovely 4 hours walking the beautiful grounds and were given an allotted time to go around the house stuffed with antiques and pictures...beautiful views for the grown ups and croquet and a rabbit hole slide for the kids! Not too much mentioned any more about Alice In Wonderland, but kids enjoyed the experience nonetheless. We spent hours trying to photograph clever shots with each other and a topiary teacup & saucer near the conical water feature...have a go... NB opening times for the house & gardens vary a lot...DO check first!

A great place for all of the family. Beautiful woodland walk with an 'Alice in Wonderland' theme. Games to play in the grounds e.g. croquet drafts. House is still owner occupied. Good National Trust cafe with the best coffee around!
