A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Porthallow Beach

There are great views across the Fal estuary from this sheltered little cove. Sit and watch the comings and goings of the boats, or go rockpooling at low tide. This is a shingle beach with car parking nearby.

A Great Pit Stop

Whether enjoying a circular walk around the local countryside, or tackling the Coastal Path, Porthallow is a great place to stop for a breather. The village has unfortunately lost many local facilities, but you can still enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at The Five Pilchards. The brand new village hall, virtually on the beach, must have the best view of any village hall in Cornwall!
