A long shingle mile long beach stretching from Branscombe to Beer Head. You can walk there along the coastal path or park in the nearby car park (charges apply). There are facilities nearby and a dog exercise area.

St Mawes takes the Cornish coast to a very classy standard; perching on the unspoilt Roseland peninsula, the surrounding countryside is outstanding. St Mawes is also well known for its foot ferry to Falmouth and is home to the best preserved of Henry VIII's coastal fortresses, St Mawes Castle.

Mousehole to Lamorna

Take the South West Coast Path from Mousehole harbour to the lovely cove at Lamorna. Follow the coast path signs with the sea on your left. The path hugs the coast, with opportunities for bird watching and terraces can still be seen where early daffodils were once grown for the London market. Go in April to see wild daffodils in flower. You can return by the same route or follow the signs inland from Lamorna harbour which will bring you back into Mousehole behind the bird hospital and down the hill back to the harbour.

Set above the sea with a palm lined garden running down to the rocks, this is the perfect place to enjoy the creations of Head Chef Matthew Smith. The menu is created using locally sourced produce and guests are welcome to dine on the terrace in fine weather or inside on the Upper Deck. An open fire will keep you toasty during autumn and winter.
