This fabulous forest has miles of tracks and footpaths to explore and parking is free. As a Special Site of Scientific Interest you will find a great variety of wildlife and one of the country's oldest trees, the Big Bellied Oak, on the side of the A346.

Part of the Avebury World Heritage Site and managed by English Heritage, Silbury Hill is the largest artifical mount in Europe and a Site of Specific Scientific Interest. Whilst there is no public access to the hill, there is a car park should you wish to explore the area. Please note, parking is payable by text for non-members of English Heritage.
