Chelynch Doulton Shepton Circular

A two hour moderate walk that conveniently takes in two pubs along the way. It starts and ends in Shepton Mallet town centre, so plenty of parking and other things to do with the rest of the day. Beautiful views and countryside features take you to Doulting Water and a couple of picturesque ponds. Follow the fields and river back to your starting point (see Web site for deatils instructions).

East Mendip Way

Taking in the beauiful Somerset countryside, this nineteen mile walk runs from Wells to Frome. Starting near the stunning cathedral, you will pass through several wooded sections including King's Castle Woods and Ham Woods, both owned by the National Trust. Don't forget to arrange your transport home unless you feel up to the return walk!

Ebbor Gorge

Located within the Mendip Hills area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, this mainly wooded site has two way-marked routes with a view point overlooking the Hope Wood Valley. Make use of the picnic tables at the top and take in the stunning views in front of you, a bit like a Google Earth map according to Property Manager Anna.

A circular seven and a half mile rural walk through the Eastern Mendips. Mostly footpath with short stretches along quiet country lanes, this walk can be enjoyed in either direction. The Poacher's Pocket provides welcome refreshments en-route.

West Compton & North Wootton from Pilton

A super walk starting from the picturesque village of Pilton. The footpath follows the southern edge of the Mendip Hills and is approximately seven and a half miles long with 750 feet of ascent. Please be aware that Glastonbury Festival usually takes place towards the end of June and at this time all the local footpaths are closed.
