This relatively easy walk follows a mixture of country lanes and footpaths. Starting at the Tamar Lakes and extending to path alongside the Bude Canal.

Hartland Point

The South West Coast Path provides some of the most stunning scenery including Lundy Island from the high cliffs in north Devon. Try starting at Hartland Point and walking towards the lighthouse and then the radio mast, looking out for the rusting remains of the Johanna shipwreck on the beach. A circular route along Blagdon Cliff and then Upright Cliff (where there is a small waterfall) will take you inland to Blagdon Farm and eventually your starting point.

Hawker's Hut

This driftwood hut on the cliffs near Morwenstow is the National Trust's smallest property. It was built by the eccentric Reverend Hawker, who was vicar of Morwenstow from 1834 until his death in 1875. Hawker would sit in his hut and write poetry and it was here that he penned 'The Song of the Western Men', which has become a Cornish anthem.

Morwenstow Circular

A two and a half mile walk which is fairly strenuous so don't be mislead into thinking it's an easy stroll by the short mileage. It's worth the effort though as you'll take in woodland and coastal path with some amazing views. You'll also pass a pub and tea rooms giving options for a well earned break.
