A weekend's worth of lure fishing in July around the coast of Cornwall with prizes such as 'Biggest Bass' and 'Species Hunt'. You don't have to be a competitive or expert fisherman, but we guess it helps! Tickets can be bought from The Art of Fishing:
Over 800 birds take part in the largest all waterfowl show in the UK located in the cattle building. Hot food is available and wheelchair access available. Please see the Web site for dates and times.
Vintage vehicles stand resplendant amongst various shows and re-enactments, with stalls and farm animals. Held in July and raising funds for several charities.
Meet at 11am sharp for an icy dip. Over four hundred people take part. Wetsuits are strictly forbidden.
Held at the end of June (so usually good weather!) this is a celebration of all things food, music and art.
Everything agriculture and West Country, but you don't have to be interested in farming to have a fun-filled whole day out. This weekend in mid-June has animals, stalls, gardening, entertainment, and the showground is enormous.
An annual four day festival of classical music with the aim of bringing together singers and instrumentalists of international repute to provide a series of concerts at affordable prices.
Taking place over Easter in the village of St Endellion, this festival runs for ten days and includes candlelit jazz and a lunchtime prom. Come along for a sing, you'll be glad you did.
