The villagers of Sancreed started this tradition a few years ago to raise money to help refurbish the village hall. Every year a huge pink sculpture pig is carried around the country lanes surrouding Sancreed Beacon. Everyone is welcome, especially if you wear pink (to match the pig!)
Maritime magic in the village of Mousehole, promoting the heritage of the area and celebrating all things sailing and sea. This biennial festival is held in July.
Taken a pre-Christmas Day lunch dip and join over 100 other mad folk doing the same thing. Kick off starts at 11am.
The anniversary of the foundation of St Just Church takes place on the nearest Sunday and Monday to 1st November. On the Sunday there is a parade to morning church service with Pendeen band and on the Monday a Meet of horses and hounds takes place in the town square followed by a fete.
During this festival on 23rd December you can try out a local favourite "Star Gazy Pie" but watch out for the protruding fish heads! Some years a lantern procession takes place and you will find this is an evening not to be missed!
