Taking place every year on the first Saturday in September, this carnival proceeds down the high street and includes marching bands, majorettes and stilt walkers.
On the first weekend in December Porlock celebrates Christmas with Saturday open evening for the village shops and a mini Christmas market at the Visitor Centre. A craft fair takes place on the Saturday and Sunday in the village hall.
Meet at the Dovery Manor Museum and the parade goes through the village, wassailing at the orchard and ends at the Community Orchard. This is then followed by folk singing and Mummers Play.
