This unique pool is river fed and warmed by solar covers. The pool is closed during the mornings and then open in the afternoon after the sun has been at work warming the water. Young children can enjoy the paddling pool and there's a tea shed serving refreshments. Enjoy a dip from May to September.
Dartmoor Hawking School of Falconry.
Enter the woods via Manaton Road north of Bovey Tracey and enjoy wildlife trails with hides through the oak woodland and heathland. Spot Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts, Wood Warblers and Tree Pipits. If you are really lucky you may see a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker.
They're very cute and sometimes there are foals for sale, so be prepared for some high-octane nagging.
