Brownsea Island
Home to the endangered red squirrel, Brownsea Island is a haven for wildlife and a renowned site for bird watchers. The island is also famous for being the birthplace of Scouting and Guiding. The Baden-Powell Outdoor Centre offers sailing, canoeing, archery, orienteering and other outdoor activities at the site where the very first Scouts camp took place in 1907.
