Set in 15 acres in the lovely Isle of Purbeck region of Dorset. This family-run pick your own farm has been growing fruit and veg since the 1970s. There's also a farm shop, plant nursery and tea room here where you can enjoy a cream tea made with Holme made jam.

We stumbled on this farm by chance, but having never taken the children to a pick your own farm we stopped to get some strawberries. After an hour of not much picking but lots of eating, we stopped for afternoon tea in the cafe and had a walk around the pond which was teaming with wild life. I did end up buying pre-picked strawberries and cream from the farm shop mind you, but the kids had fun!

Lovely tea room

It's worth stopping in at the Orchard tea room. They use fruit from the farm in the jams and preserves - the cream teas are scrumptious!

Farmers markets at Holme

They're now holding a monthly farmers' market at Holme where you can browse the delicious offerings from local Purbeck producers. Markets are held on the fourth Saturday of the month.
