Here you will find miles of golden sands, backed by dunes. Point of Ayr lighthouse is an impressive monument, standing 18 metres out of the sand but do be aware of the tide if you stroll out to take a closer look. Dogs are welcome year round, and apart from a busy influx of holiday makers during summer, this beach is usually quiet.
