A great park to take the children to burn of some steam - lots of different areas with all sorts of play equipment - swings/slides/tunnels/a big sand pit with diggers/scoopers (a hit with my little one!). With a lovely water feature and the old mining buildings to look around a hot chocolate in the cafe is a must after the work out in the park.

Lovely space, with a fantastic adventure playpark for kids of all ages. The displays are interesting and there are many different areas to explore. They often have farmers' markets, events and that sort of thing in the main space, and the little shops are nice. The cafe has a relatively limited choice but what is there is tasty and home cooked.
