Seaview

On the easterly side of the island, this small idyllic village overlooks the Solent and has three beaches to choose from. There's an eclectic assortment of shops including a gallery, boutique and local village community shop, supplying fresh daily produce. Lily's Cafe offers up a good coffee stop, call in to the Seaview Hotel for upmarket dining or try The Old Fort for views of the sea. And dogs are most welcome.

Quaint little village by the sea

A lovely village with a yacht club, great sea views and pebbly/sandy beach. It is a nice walk to Ryde approx 2 miles along the coast. Only a handful of places to eat (London prices) and the volunteer run community shop is open part time only. Great for a few days with sea views bit quiet. You need to go in to Ryde or elsewhere for a convenience store or selection of places to eat.
