If you’re looking for an elegant evening out, Somerset has some very lovely country house hotels whose restaurants strive for the highest quality. If that’s not really your scene, some of the pubs are just as serious about their cooking - the term ‘pub grub’ hardly seems to fit - but have a more relaxed atmosphere.
