Best Pubs in Somerset

A pub is a pub isn't it? Well some are more worthwhile than others, and here are our guests three best pubs in Somerset.

Lord Poulett Arms

Worth travelling for, this one, with its top class menu and cream-of-the-crop Somerset setting. The web site gives you a clue as to its calibre, and the love of its Owners is apparent. It’s a very well cared for and respected public house. And not too expensive, considering.

Rock Inn

A stunning frontage with character façade on the fringes of Exmoor. Heather moorland for miles but easy to get to, there is your traditional pub alongside a bistro-style restaurant. And doggies are allowed too.

Tarr Farm Inn and Restaurant

So good it inspired an essay from one of our reviewers, it serves as respite for confused visitors trying to make their way to Tarr Steps! But it is worth it when you get there, to sit with a pint and survey the reason so many people make the effort. Forty acres of wooded valleys, open moorland and a riverside setting, you can’t get much better in the way of Somerset Inns.
