The village is utterly unspoilt; friendly locals and a tranquil atmosphere make it impossible to resist.

North Bovey (3.4 miles)
With the heather-clad hills and valleys of Dartmoor dominating the skyline, North Bovey is a magnet for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The word picturesque barely does North Bovey justice; the village green, with its traditional pump and stone cross, is surrounded by 18th century thatched cottages. The 13th century pub, the Ring of Bells, is the ideal opportunity to linger over a drink and soak up the surroundings.
