King Edward Mine (KEM) is the oldest complete mine site left in Cornwall situated in the World Heritage Area. All the buildings are Grade II* Listed.
The circular Great Flat Lode trail passes by the museum car park, which can be used as a starting point to view the highest concentration of historic mines sites anywhere in the world.
As most of the exhibits are located inside, KEM is an undercover attraction.
The mill is staffed by volunteers who provide guided tours of how tin was processed in the early 1900s. The museum contains much restored equipment which can be seen running.
