Cadgwith
Cadgwith is an idyllic fishing village with thatched cottages spilling onto a tiny beach full of fishing boats. Park above the village and join the coastal path - you will see the large white dishes of Goonhilly Earth Satellite Tracking Station and then Lloyds Signal Station. Eventually you will pass the Devil’s Frying Pan, a 200ft drop to a collapsed sea cave where the sea flows through a narrow arch at high tide.

From Coverack there is a lovely circular walk along the coastal path to Chynhalls Point and Black Head, and then turning inland to walk across fields and country lanes back to the village.

Helford
The picturesque hamlet of Helford has a lovely walk along the river, up alongside Frenchman’s Creek and then through woodland past Kestle and back to the village.

Perranuthnoe
The path runs along the coast on the eastern side of Mount’s Bay. Pass the jagged rocks of Cudden Point to Prussia Cove, famous for its rock pools and caves as well as the smuggler John Carter, whose obsession with Frederick the Great, the King of Prussia, led to the naming of the area.

The Helford Valley
One of the nicest walks in the Helford valley is from Mawnan Church, just outside the village, to Rosemullion Head. You walk through woodland and then join the coastal path for wonderful views across Falmouth Bay.

The Lizard
Start in the Lizard village and go past Pentreath Cove, a locals' surfing spot, and Lion Rock, across Lizard Downs and down into Kynance Cove. Enjoy the beach - there is a cafe here for refreshments and then go up the cliff on the other side to do a big loop of the nature reserve. You will pass some ancient settlements and highland cattle and then go back towards the Lizard following the raised footpath across the fields. You can finish with one of Ann’s famous pasties on the green.
