A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Aberfelin Beach

Sometimes known as Aberdraw, this small cove is so tucked away it is often not marked on maps. At low tide there's a small sand and shingle beach, perfect for rock pooling. The surrounding tall cliffs offer shelter from the wind and make this the perfect sun trap in summer. Look out for the little island and stone arch but do be aware of strong currents out to sea. It's best to park in the village and walk to the beach where dogs are allowed year round.
