A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Yaverland Beach

At low tide there are miles of flat sand ( ideal for beach games) kite surfing and windsurfing. Safe bathing areas are sectioned off. The chalk cliffs of Culver Down are to the north and fossil remains can be found here, including dinosaur footprints. Ample parking is available at the southern end where you will also find a cafe and toilets. Dogs are allowed year round on this beach. There is no lifeguard cover.
