Polpeor Cafe

The most southerly cafe in mainland Britain serves a great choice of snacks and meals. The view is stunning. What better way to 'wave watch' than enjoying a pasty or cream tea from here?

We visited last weekend - parking in the village and walking down to the point. The café was very busy but the service was very prompt and friendly. We managed to find a table outside overlooking the old lifeboat station, right on the cliff-top. There was a lovely selection of local produce on the menu - we indulged in a traditional Cornish cream tea!
All the food looked fresh with very generous portions.

Polper Cafe - Most Southerly Point - 5 Star - Don't be decieved by the unassuming look of this cafe. We had our lunch there and it was lovely. It is located on the edge of the cliff so the view stunning. We even returned for an evening meal (it was open until 7.30). The cream tea was huge and very tasty. Its a 10 min walk from the Lizard. There is also a very small car park next to the cafe accessible down a lane but there is also a larger car park at the lighthouse and the cafe is just a short walk down the path and some steps (this car park is sometimes charged)
