A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Bateman's

This beautiful Jacobean house is situated in the rolling countryside of the Sussex Weald and it's not hard to see why Rudyard Kipling and his wife fell in love with Bateman's. They lived here for much of their married life and when they passed away the property was gifted to the National Trust. Today the house is preserved as it was left and is a must for anyone visiting the area.
