Hound Tor
Said to have been the inspiration for Conan Doyle's 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'. The Hound Tor area of Dartmoor is famed for its ghosts. The excavated remains of a medieval Devon village clearly showing the layout of four longhouses and barns shelters on the northern slopes of the tor, commanding superb views across Dartmoor.
