Best Pubs in Devon

Picture postcard settings to sup your pint, here's three of the best pubs in Devon to whet your whistle.

The Masons Arms

In the number one spot, it goes without saying that you’ll need to book ahead during the holidays, to make sure you get a table to enjoy their excellent food. Authentic and beautifully presented, as one reviewer put it ‘a chocolate box pub in a chocolate box village’ and it’s only a ten minute stroll to Branscombe beach.

The Ship Inn

Set on the waterside at Noss Mayo, relaxation is the order of the day. Have a stroll around the area, or cruise up to the pub on a boat, then sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. Apparently the food is pretty good too, with a wide and interesting range of wines to wash it down with.

Carpenters Arms

Find this traditional watering hole tucked away on Dartmoor, where you can kick back with your four legged friend at the end of a day’s hike. The super quiet surroundings let you soak up the ambience of good food, good beer and good atmosphere.
