Helford
(3.6 miles)
The picturesque hamlet of Helford has a lovely walk along the river, up alongside Frenchman’s Creek and then through woodland past Kestle and back to the village.

Terence Coventry Sculpture Park
(2.3 miles)
Strong figurative sculptures are displayed on the cliff top here above Coverack. Coventry has a habit of sculpting animals that have been familiar to him through his years as a Cornish pig farmer, such as bulls, cows and birds. His work has been exhibited at the Peggy Guggenheim, Venice, the Royal Academy and the Gallery Pangolin, Gloucestershire to mention just a few.

Coverack

Chocolate-box pretty, Coverack has everything you want in a Cornish village - a picture-postcard harbour, a crescent of sandy beach and a friendly pub.

From Coverack there is a lovely circular walk along the coastal path to Chynhalls Point and Black Head, and then turning inland to walk across fields and country lanes back to the village.

The Helford Valley
(3.8 miles)
One of the nicest walks in the Helford valley is from Mawnan Church, just outside the village, to Rosemullion Head. You walk through woodland and then join the coastal path for wonderful views across Falmouth Bay.

Helford
(3.6 miles)
The village of Helford is a hidden gem of a place, secreted on the banks of the Helford River and surrounded by ancient woodland, deep valleys and creeks. Take a passenger ferry along the river and you’ll feel as if you’ve entered another world, a peaceful refuge from the traffic and crowds of the 21st century. It’s impossible not to think of smugglers, pirates and Daphne du Maurier’s tortured heroines as you slide across the water through this beautiful corner of Cornwall.

Porthallow
(1.2 miles)
Finding the tiny cove of Porthallow involves taking the road less travelled. This is the Cornwall of quiet, leafy lanes, hidden beaches and a slower pace of life. If you’re looking for wild nightlife or ritzy shopping, you’re in the wrong place…If you’re after total relaxation and peace, then you’ve found perfection.

The White Hart

With a cosy open fire and views across the pretty village square to St Peter's, a 15th Century church with views to Falmouth bay, this traditional pub serves good quality food freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients where possible. There is a good range of cask conditioned ales on hand pump and a selection of fine wines. The local fish served in Doombar batter is not to be missed and there is a varied specials board.
