Porthmeor Beach
(4.2 miles)
Just below the crazy white geometry of the Tate St Ives, Porthmeor Beach is a busy slice of seaside life. Surfing, sunbathing, beach cricket, sandcastles, ice creams - grab a piece of the action.

Penzance
(4.9 miles)
Not quite as firmly on the tourist trail as St Ives, Penzance has real character and is more down to earth. The Jubilee Pool, on the Promenade, is an enormous open-air, Art Deco-style lido, complete with sun terraces and cafe - it’s a great place to while away a sunny afternoon.

St Ives
(4.2 miles)
Leave Porthmeor Beach behind, skirt round Clodgy Point and then head inland towards Eagles Nest, the home of the late Patrick Heron, the abstract painter whose exhilaratingly colourful work crowns the entrance hall of the Tate of the West. Make your way towards Seal Island for a display of synchronized swimming by a squad of grey seals.

Men-an-Tol
(2.9 miles)
Start on the moors outside Penzance at this ancient monument for views of all three coasts. In olden days children with rickets were passed naked through the stones to be cured. Make your way to the Merry Maidens stone circle and then Ding Dong Mine engine house.
