A ghost village on the Isle of Purbeck, abandoned for military use in preparations for D-Day. Wander the domestic ruins and visit the church and schoolhouse, still stocked with the day's lesson books. Worth a look, even if it's a stop off before walking down to Worbarrow Bay. Just make sure you check when the area is open, as it's owned by the Ministry of Defence.
