Small but very attractive gardens very nice tea shop although service rather slow but when on holiday you're not normally in a rush.

Pleasant garden

The garden is well kept and there are some huge specimen magnolias. Walking around the walled gardens means having to retrace your steps though. Other oddities of the layout are that the cafe is off the main property in the car park (which may be useful if you just want to use the cafe, which is lovely with a sheltered walled garden of it's own). Worth a visit if you are an NT member.

Enchanting

Trengwainton Garden is a real treasure. Exotic ferns are everywhere as are stunning Agapanthus and local flowers. The walled garden is lovely to explore and the National Trust shop is one of the best I have been to.
