Pendeen Pottery

We first saw Pendeen Pottery at Sennen's Tuesday Farmers' Market, and knew that we would need to make a visit to the Pottery and Gallery on our journey along the beautiful coast road from St Ives to St Just.

Pendeen Pottery and Gallery is owned by Cornish potter John, and his wife, artist and pottery decorator, Gemma. On display are several ranges of John's earthenware pottery, both attractive and useful, whilst Gemma's beautiful botanical artwork and still-lifes adorn the Gallery's walls.

Pendeen's Turquoise and Honey Mottle glazes echo the glorious colours and moods of Cornwall, whilst the Harbour Pottery range is inspired by the fishing villages that dot the Cornish coast.

The Gallery hosts a changing selection of Cornish paintings and crafts, prints and cards. Our Honey Mottle Salt Pig now has pride of place on our kitchen windowsill, and is a lovely reminder of our wonderful Cornish holiday.

Don't forget to combine your visit with brunch, lunch or cream tea at the wonderful Heather's Coffee Shop just up the road.
