Nestled between Penzance and Mousehole, England's largest fishing port is the epitome of a fishing village. The village awakes at 7am every morning for the fish auction before the fresh haul is sent to the local restaurants and shipped across the continent, with everything from large ocean-faring trawlers to small open boats filling the harbour. The narrow winding streets are a hotchpotch of fisherman's cottages, cafes and holiday homes although with its own vibrant art scene including the Newlyn Gallery, Newlyn Society of Arts and Newlyn School of Arts, it is firmly on the artistic map.

A real treat to sit and watch a working harbour with the fleet of commercial boats always on the move. Also home to the RNLI lifeboat station and the Fish Festival, a bustling vibrant celebration of all things 'Fishy'!
Loads of stalls selling food and showcasing all the different fish that get landed in Newlyn. Takes place on the harbour and under cover in the fish market. Lots to see for all ages.
