A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Lake Drive Beach

Lake Drive beach is a sand and shingle beach found in Hamworthy. Running up to the popular nature reserve, Ham Common, the beach is popular among dog walkers and is dog-friendly all year. Once used to prepare troops for the D-Day landings, these days the beach is a good place to take a stroll and reflect. At low tide it can get a little silty.
