An interesting place for anyone who wants to know more about the industrial heritage that shaped this area of Cornwall. More suited to just a morning or afternoon, but within easy driving distance of great beaches at Gwithian, Godrevey or Portreath to make up the rest of the day. Alternatively, you can take your bikes (or hire them) and cycle along the Mineral Tramways cycle path, which takes you alongside many impressive mining relics - chimneys, engine houses, workings - as well as allowing you to enjoy a traffic free environment in the middle of the countryside. Lots of pubs/villages en route that you can stop at, and you can make it as long or short as you like.
