A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Readymoney Cove

A perfect scooped-out circle of sand, Readymoney Cove is found close to the mouth of the River Fowey. Overlooked by St Catherine’s Castle and sheltered by small cliffs, the cove was once home to Daphne du Maurier. The beach is cleaned daily in high season, although the water is subject to pollution after heavy rain. Facilities and parking nearby.

A really beautiful place. It might be useful to know that dogs aren't allowed so only briefly enjoyable and from a distance.
