A guide to the West Country from the people that know…

Appledore

A lovely little seaside village with quintessential narrow streets, houses in pastel hues and a Quay to sit and eat your local fish and chips on. Tea shops and bistros, small boutiques and fishermen's fare - take delight in everything Devonshire as you breathe in the clean, fresh sea air. There's even the Appledore Book Festival thanks to the association with A. A. Milne.

Gorgeous Appledore

Quaint, sleepy...words you will see to describe Appledore. Our friends found it too quiet but we loved it. Beautiful sunsets, great walks nearby, lovely beaches not too far away, a brass band playing in the Quay every Monday, crabbing on the Quay, a number of good eateries and a deli of delights (Johns of Appledore). We love Appledore.
